St. Joseph’s College for Women, Alappuzha is a meritorious institution
that has stood up to its mission “to form intellectually trained, morally
upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired young women.” Courting the
sacred name of St. Joseph, the College is the flagship institution of the
Canossian Congregation, founded by St. Magdalene of Canossa, in Verona, Italy.
The college with its homely ambiance and impressive credentials has been
an academic hotspot and a cultural hub ever since the time of its inception.
The P.G. Department of English with its crew of accomplished and dedicated
faculty members has been an intrinsic part of the college, bequeathing to its
alumnae some of the most enterprising students. The Additional Skills
Acquisition Programme would broaden the outreach of the Department and enable a
more fertile channelling of its resources. The blueprint has been set, the
distance from conception to reality is just a few yards away.........
